Kamal Ranaweera is a Licensed Professional Engineer of Alberta. He joined the Arts Resource Centre in 2009 and prior to that he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Faculty of Engineering at University of Alberta. He holds Ph.D. in Engineering from the Western University, London, Ontario and a B.Sc. with First Class Honours in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Kamal's interests include software engineering, electronics, and systems development.

Isuru Wickramasinghe is a creative lead developer, and Project Team Lead with over eight years in the areas of application design, development, maintenance and support experience. During that time, he has worked at several industry-leading tech organizations in Sri Lanka, where he has been involved in system designing and development, code reviewing, system maintenance, reporting, providing technical training, and conducting local and international client-based training. Isuru has completed two bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He joined the Art Resource Center on 1st of February, 2020.

Melania Ru'aini (Bsc in Biology and Business Computing) joined ARC in August 1, 2013. She has over 15 years programming experiences in both commercial and research institutions, using variety of languages such as C, C++, C#, Objective C, Java, Java Script, Perl, Python, SQL, Matlab, R, etc. She enjoys the challenge of programming, sightseeing and puzzle solving.

Jill joined ARC in February 2020. She graduated in 2017 with a bachelor of Science specializing in Computing Science and a certificate in Computer Game Development from the U of A. In her free time, she has an interest in making art, sewing her own costumes, and games. She also volunteers to help girls learn to write code.

Born and raised in Saskatoon, I came to Edmonton in 1989 for (I thought) a few years to do an MA in Classics (ancient history). Somehow I'm still here and an IT professional. I still love history & archaeology, as well as art, astronomy, photography, playing guitar, and, more recently, making bread.

Grant holds a BA and MA in Philosophy, was an assistant professor in a Social Sciences Research Institute, and a director and producer at a TV station in China. He received a New Media Diploma in 2002 from the Faculty of Extension, U of A. Grant has over 28 years of extensive AV and multimedia production and managing experience. His signature projects include Dino 101 and UVG (Understanding Video Games), which were the first and second MOOCs in Canada and the U of A. The quality of Dino 101 set the benchmark for videos on Coursera.

Clare received a Diploma in Electronic Technology from SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon, SK in 1989 and then was certified as a technologist (AScT) by the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians organization in 1991. In 2012 Clare was certified by infoComm International as a Certified Technical Specialist. Clare has extensive experience and knowledge of the Audio Visual and IT industries and has experience that ranges from repair and maintenance to production to consultation and project management.
